Kokomo High School Class of '86 - Planning for the 25th Reunion is now underway!!!

What have you been up to since graduation?

Kokomo High School has been through many changes. The areas marked in yellow show the new construction since we graduated and the letters outline the nature of that construction.

A - Additional English and special edu. classrooms occupy the first floor and foreign language, math and science classrooms are located on the second floor.
B - Additional practice rooms for band
C - A much-needed second small gym and a cardio-fitness center occupy much of this area.
D - Boys and girls locker rooms
E - Career Center

I have been married for 16 years and am the mother of 4 boys: Matt - 15, Aaron - 13, Andrew - 11, and Benjamin - 7. I have been fortunate enough to be able to stay home through most of my children's lives. For the past two years I have been teaching school in a small Christian school here in North Carolina while my husband is pursuing a Master's degree in Biblical Studies. I look forward to seeing everyone!

After high school, I went to Purdue University. There I co-op'd with the Navy (as a civilian - not enlisted) while getting my electrical engineering degree. After graduation, I continued working for the Navy for around ten years, then decided to move out to Portland, Oregon, after a visit to see my brother. I've had a couple of jobs there, working in software engineering and am currently working on Linux development for IBM. Let's see, I was married for quite a while; around ten years, was single for a while, and am now happily married again to a lovely lady named Marsha. I've done some mountain climbing, and have managed to drag myself up to the summits of Mt Hood and Mt Adams while I lived Portland. I moved back to Kokomo in late 2008 (still working for IBM, but from home). I've just bought a house out in the country near Lafayette, and plan to move out there later this summer to play farmer on the side.

Just glad to be back in Kokomo after spending the last 20 years traveling. I just want to relax and enjoy life again. 20 years in the Navy was long and hard, but also fun and challenging. I am just glad I have my lovely wife Penny with me to show her the beauty of Indiana and the fun here.

It's been 3 years since I've updated my information. I'm still a nurse, but most of my clients are now newborns. Awww I'm still married to Rick. I still have a kid. : ) He did move out, and is working and going to college to be a computer programmer. It's nice to go into his bedroom now. I can see the floor and smell CLEAN... instead of seeing CDs, mushy letters, trash, and books, and smelling dirty socks. Nah...he's a good kid. I'm enjoying my life more now, than I have in years! I hope I can make it to the 25th reunion.

After graduation, went to Purdue for 2 years, came back home, got married to Kenny Vint, started working and didn't graduate, built a house, had a boy, Hayden, 15, then had a girl, Madeline, 13, decided to go back to school when Maddie was 6 months old. Graduated in 2002 from Purdue in Pharmacy. Had to do things the hard way. Run around after the kids, they play about every sport. It's busy but fun.
